The “Freshness Finder” is a device that you can place in your fridge that detects food spoilage via a methane sensor and alerts you the next time you open your fridge. You’ll never have to be surprised by old fruits and veggies again!

The ECE2799 course at WPI is a great way for students to practice their protyping skills, especially if they don’t have any experience doing so already. When I took the course in 2024, my team and I created the Freshness Finder and won 1st place amongst the other great projects in the class. The following year I was a teaching assistant for this course and helped the studetns create their own creative prototypes.
